How it works

From a CSV with tens of thousands of rows to the quarter’s summary.

Demo en 2 minutos — próximamente
From the CSV as it leaves Seller Central to the blocks you file, with the breakdown by actual rate and traceability down to the source row.
What you get back

The blocks you need to reconcile the quarter.

  • Domestic sales, broken down by actual rate
  • OSS sales, country by country
  • Refunds, kept separate from sales
  • Exempt intra-Community supplies
  • Exports to the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla
  • Permanent establishments, each country apart
  • Amazon fees as input VAT
  • Units per product

Every total unfolds down to the CSV rows that make it up, and whatever fits no block shows up flagged as unclassified. The result is informative and does not replace your advisory: review it before filing anything.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask before uploading the file.

Which Amazon report do I need?

The Amazon VAT Transactions Report — «Informe de transacciones sujetas a IVA» in a Spanish-language Seller Central; mind the wording, it is "sujetas a IVA". It carries one row per transaction with its base, rate and VAT amount; the VAT summary will not do, it comes pre-aggregated. You will find it under Informes de Logística de Amazon → Informe de transacciones sujetas a IVA (the Spanish interface names — the direct link works whatever language your account is in). Pick the activity month and request the CSV («Solicitar descarga en .csv»): the file takes a moment to generate and appears in the table underneath. The previous month's report is available from the 3rd of the current month. Do not open it in Excel before uploading: Excel strips the leading zeros off MSKU, ASIN and FNSKU, and those identifiers stop matching.

It says my file is not the right one. Why?

Because it recognised which one you uploaded. It tells apart the five reports most often confused with this one — orders, payments (settlement), inventory, Amazon fees and the VAT summary — and tells you which one it is and what it lacks. The most common is the summary: it is aggregated, and this needs the transaction-by-transaction detail.

Does my data leave my computer?

The CSV does not. It is read and classified inside your browser, in a Web Worker, and the Excel is generated there too. The file is not uploaded to any server and its contents are not stored anywhere. The only thing that can travel is your email address, and only if you type it yourself to receive the Excel. You can check it: open your browser’s network tab and watch what is sent while it analyses.

Why is it free? Where is the catch?

There is no catch, and you do not need to sign up to see the summary. Reading a single month is the easy part. The real work is the history, crossing Amazon with Shopify and following margin month after month — and that is the paid product.

What does it do with Amazon’s fees?

It keeps them apart from your sales, as input VAT, which is what they are. They are never added to your taxable base: adding them inflates the base and the VAT you would declare, and the effect grows with how much the fees weigh on your sales.

No fees show up this month. Is it broken?

No. Amazon invoices its fees a month in arrears and some months come out with none. When that happens, the summary tells you so in those words instead of showing an empty table for you to interpret.

I sell in several currencies. Does it add them up?

No, and it is deliberate. Each block carries its currency and they are never mixed. When the report brings a converted VAT amount, the report’s own exchange rate is used, never an external one. The converted base is computed by us, because the report does not carry it, and it appears flagged as derived wherever it is shown.

I hold stock in Italy or Germany. Does it understand that?

Yes. It derives your establishment countries from the VAT numbers (NIF-IVA) in the report itself and opens a block per departure country. A sale shipped from Italy to a Spanish destination is not a Spanish domestic sale and is not classified as one. If the detection gets it wrong, you can correct the countries by hand and everything is recalculated.

The read check does not match my sales.

It should not match. That figure adds up every row in the file, deliberately mixing the VAT you charged with the input VAT of the fees, and its only job is confirming the file was read whole. The month’s sales are the net figure in the control box.

Is there a size limit? How long does it take?

There is no set limit. A normal month runs to one or two thousand rows and processes in tenths of a second. Measured on a real month of 1,274 rows: 0.06 s. With 10,000 rows, 0.36 s; with 51,000 rows and 31 MB, about 2 s. Time grows in proportion to size, with no jumps, and it runs in a Web Worker, so the page does not freeze while it works. On an old phone it will be slower than these figures, taken on a laptop.

I also sell on Shopify. Is this for me?

This tool is not: it reads the Amazon VAT report and only that. Bringing Amazon and Shopify together under the same criterion for cost, fees and VAT is exactly what Qualiax does, and it is in development.

What does it NOT do?

It does not file returns or connect to the AEAT (the Spanish tax agency), it does not keep history, it does not cross several months and it does not join several seller accounts. It reads one month and hands it back structured. Everything beyond a single month — the history, the channel crossing, the margin tracking — is the product, which is not taking customers yet.

Can I file my VAT returns (modelo 303, modelo 369) with this?

The result is informative and does not replace your advisory. It prepares the work and leaves it traceable down to the CSV row behind every total, but the review before filing still belongs to a professional.
